Saxon is a Water Baby
Saxon likes the water, enjoying her baths from the beginning. But she LOVES taking showers with mommy (or with her aunt ashley), especially the part where the water hits her face!

Photos from Quarter Horse Country
On my way to Kansas for Thanksgiving, I stopped in to visit my cousins, who own Bar JP Quarter Horses, in Edmond, OK.
I poked around, took a few photos, some digital, some with my film cameras (including my Holga). I look forward to heading back up there sometime.

Wow! there are seeds inside?
This squirrel thinks I'm her best pal. Often times when i walk outside, she scampers over to sit on her hind legs saying, "got something for me?...wink, wink...). Being the sucker that I am, I typically head back into the house, grab a handful of peanuts or sunflower seeds from the birdseed bins and toss 'em her direction.
After seeing photos of an innovative squirrel who dug its way into a pumpkin, I decided I would give these guys a hint. So, I cut an opening in the pumpkin and retrieved some seeds, which I placed beside it. Didn't take long for mama squirrel to realize "hey - that's not bad." If you live in our neighborhood and suddenly have found holes in your pumpkins, well, sorry.

Escape to the Bahamas
Summer 2005. Trip to the Abaco Islands, Bahamas for Teresa, Carey & Chris. We flew thru Miami and proceeded to Marsh Harbour, which is located on Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas.
We stayed at the Abaco Club (thanks Mr & Mrs Edison!), where we cruised around the property in a golf cart, relaxed on their beach, visited their beach restaurant and grilled fish and "crawfish" (spiny lobster) on our deck overlooking Winding Bay.
We also rented a boat to cruise the calm waters of the Sea of Abaco and go to Elbow Cay (don't miss fresh-baked bread and key lime pie at Vernon's Grocery) and Great Guana Cay (lunch at Nipper's on the best beach in the Bahamas).
Despite being in the middle of hurricane season, we had great weather and a great time!

Help Pets Hurt by Katrina
There are lots of ways to help the victims of Katrina, but we think one of the most-needed areas involves helping our furry friends. Most pets had to be left behind. They've been there for nearly a week and they need help badly. Please make a donation.
The Humane Society of the United States has their Disaster Rescue Team on location. The SPCA of Texas is working both at ground zero and here in Dallas - accepting dogs from shelters in south texas and louisiana, finding foster homes and even setting up temporary shelters at Reunion Arena for pets of hurricane victims.
